About
For many years, Canadian pianist Anthony Lampron has worked as an accompanist, repetiteur and vocal coach. In the course of his practice, he has developed a strong affinity for vocal repertoire, coupled with a keen interest in languages and their use. In addition to his work as an appointed accompanist for the Outaouais Classical Choir and the Ottawa Classical Choir (SPNM), he has worked with several singers and choirs including the Gatineau Symphony Orchestra Choir, the University of Ottawa Choir, the Children’s Choir of the Massé School and the choir La Chanterelle de la Lièvre, which he also accompanied in a musical tour in France and Spain in 2018. In the fall of 2025, he will join the Vocal Concentration of the Centre d’Excellence Artistique de l’Ontario as repetiteur.
As soloist, he will shine for the 2026 season in the interpretations of the Missa di Requiem by Palmieri with the Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde (SPNM) and the Requiem pour Mathieu by Pierrette Froment-Savoie with the Choeur Classique de l'Outatouais. he was also heard at the Candlelight concerts in Ottawa and Montreal in the Tribute to Coldplay and Tribute to Elton John concerts. He also played the solo celesta part in Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet presented by the Orchestre symphonique de Gatineau in 2021. In addition to his solo commitments, he accompanied the ballet classes of The School of Dance in Ottawa in 2021-2022. Previously, he had worked in July 2018 at Corso di Perfezionamente in Italy and in July 2017 at the Bologna International Opera Academy in Italy as well as at McGill University, from 2013-2015.
His performances as a repetiteur include operas, operettas and musicals. On the opera side, there has been Falstaff (Verdi), L'Heure espagnole (Ravel) and Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni) with the Théâtre d'art lyrique de Laval. With the Atelier Lyrique de Chambly, he was able to tackle the operettas La Chauve-Souris (Strauss), La Périchole (Offenbach) and Les Bavards (Offenbach). The musicals Wicked (Schwartz) and Il était un pois ... (Rodgers) were rehearsed with the University of Montreal's Musical Theatre.
After his studies in interpretation piano at the University of Montreal, he perfected his vocal coaching skills with pianists Denyse Saint-Pierre, Esther Gonthier and Byron Knutson in Berlin, Germany. In 2024, he completed his master’s degree in piano accompaniment at the University of Ottawa under the direction of pianist Frédéric Lacroix.
